Named Top 40 under 40 by the National Black Lawyers Association and 2019 Houstonia Magazine's Top Lawyer, Attorney Brenda DeRouen is passionate about providing quality legal representation to her clients. She knows how overwhelming the legal process can be and works diligently to help our clients understand their rights and the issues affecting their case. Attorney DeRouen is known for her aggressive advocacy and works hard to get things done.
Outside of managing DLF, our Attorney is a trailblazer in the community. She has a passion for criminal justice reform and the advancement of women. She sits on the Board of Directors for the Houston Association of Women Attorneys, is the Founder & CEO of Women of Law a non-profit designed to connect, inspire, and propel women forward in the legal field, and Project 4-Way an organization that provides scholarships and resources to underprivileged youth residing in rural areas.
She is the proud mother of one son. In her spare time, Brenda enjoys traveling and trying new things.
SYMONE R. WHITE
Symone White's focus on every case is on the client. She listens to our clients to determine their goals, and then devises a straight forward strategy to achieve client success.
Her practice areas include family law matters such as divorce, child custody, and property division. She also has a niche for probate litigation and estate planning. Her knowledge and experince allows our clients to properly protect their assets and legacy.
Symone's interest in probate and estate planning began with a clerkship at the Harris County Probate Court while she obtained her law degree.
Symone is also a certifed mediator. She attained her mediator’s certificate from the Frank Evans Center for Conflict Resolution. Her training in mediation, negotiation, and dispute resolution allows Symone to successfully advocate for our clients.
Outside of practicing law, Attorney White enjoys fashion, traveling, and spending time with friends and family . She often volunteers her time by educating people on the importance of asset protection, generational wealth, and creating an estate plan that will benefit families.
